ART EDUCATOR  GRAPHIC DESIGNER  FINE ARTIST  PASSION FOR ART & DESIGN

________________________________________________

I believe it’s important to teach students that there is no exact way to create art.  Sometimes there are obstacles they may need to overcome, and that coping with ambiguity, expressing opinions and at times defending judgments are all essential elements required by artists.  Art education stimulates higher order thinking and the imagination while developing self-esteem and encouraging openness towards the opinion of others. Visual Art offers opportunities to students that may not be available through other disciplines/subjects. By utilizing a cross-disciplinary art curriculum, understanding multiple cultures and periods of art, I hope to engage a wider exploration of the visual arts for students that may be experienced or experimented, thereby reaching out to a wider range of interested students.

Appreciation for the arts and understanding the personal ramifications of individual creations inspires tolerance in diversity. I strive to be a motivating art educator, passionate about my own artistic challenges and passionate about inspiring/assisting students to explore their own personal art achievements. A complete art program allows every student to increase positive attitudes towards self, others and their environment through creative experiences. Problem solving and creative learning encourages students to connect visual knowledge to other subjects and to respond with innovation, understanding, flexibility and imagination. This skill transcends to all areas of pursuit and hopes to inspire students to believe in their own unique perspectives and fearlessly create!
